== HEY RATS FANS ==
How would you like to help us to play right
down the street from your house (meaning you can walk
to the gig, and stumble home)?
Cut and paste the
letter below into Word, print it out, and drop it off
at your local bar. - Thanks!
Lots of great artists like Billy Joel, The
Ramones, Blue Oyster Cult, Pat Benetar
and The Good Rats have come from Long Island. Now
these great music innovators
are being honored by the Long Island Music Hall of
Fame as their first class of inductees.
Unlike most of
the other artists being inducted, The Good Rats still
perform 100 or so shows a year, in large venues like
arenas, theaters and festivals, as well as smaller
venues like bars and clubs.
The Good Rats would like to play at your venue.
Along with 60 published original songs from their 10
studio albums, the band also has about 60 cover songs
in their repertoire from the best rock of the 1960’s
to the current time. A partial list of The Good Rats
cover songs is provided for you on the next page.
The Good Rats have performed at Madison Square
Garden, the Philadelphia Spectrum, the Nassau
Coliseum, the Hammersmith Odeon in England, and New
York's Central Park. They have also played most of the
major showcase rooms in the country including the
Bottom Line, Paradise in Boston, Whisky in L.A.,
well... you get the point!
The Rats have headlined and
opened up for such groups as Rush, Aerosmith,
Meatloaf, Ozzy, Grateful Dead, Kiss, Journey, Heart,
Springsteen, Styx and many others.
The Good Rats have released 10 albums (most radio stations should have 'em) and have 8
CD's that are currently available. Their album "Tasty
Seconds" has been getting great reviews here and
overseas and their latest album, "Play Dum" is
especially for their fans who love their heavier side!
The line up includes Peppi Marchello, Gene Marchello,
Stefan Marchello, Mike Haupt
and Dan Smiraglia.
If you want to know more about The Good Rats, do
a google search of the internet
(lots of info there).
If you’re interested in having The Good Rats play
at your venue and would like to
hear the band, then we will be happy to provide you
with a DVD of their party song “Let’s Have Another
Beer”, along with a demo CD of cover songs performed
live and some original studio songs. We will also
supply you with posters. If you put up the posters
where your customers will see them, you should get
some feedback.
Thanks for your consideration.
